Zoo Lights with Granda Dave and Grandma Mindy - Dec. 10th

This year I wanted to invite Grandpa Dave and Grandma Mindy to go see the zoo lights with us. It was a bit chilly this evening but it was dry so that was nice. We got all bundled up, bought a special milk (warm vanilla steamer) and headed out to meet Grandpa and Grandma at the zoo.

The first thing was get in line to ride the zoo train. While in line I got a little goofy and Dad started clicking away on his camera.

As luck would have it we got to sit in the caboose! I wanted to sit with Grandpa and Grandma.

I brought Big Elvis with me to see the zoo lights. Big Elvis is an elf that my Elf on the Shelf Elvis brought me this year. He brought me Big Elvis that I could touch and sleep with so I wouldn't accidentally touch the real Elvis. If a child touches the real Elvis he will loose his magic and may not make it back to the North Pole to tell Santa what a good boy I have been.

I loved getting to ride on the train at night and seeing all the zoo lights. There were so many more lights this year than is past years.

When we got off there was the golden eagle standing close and all of us kids got to take our pictures with him. He was so cool.

Then we saw a polar bear and I wanted to see him too.

They even made a mural, like what you would find on the outside of a building wall, out of lights.

Being a goofball for pictures.

We brought Bob (my stroller for those of you that do not know him by name). This way I didn't have to walk everywhere and I could cover up with a blanket. Mom always overpacks. I really didn't need a blanked with all my ski clothes on but I indulged her. She just loves me so much. 5041

Having fun with some lights!

Mom and Dad, aren't they a cute couple!

Walking around looking at all of the lights.

Mom and Dad in the lighted path.

Mom wanted to get a picture of her and Grandpa Dave. Dad was getting a little crazy taking the pictures. He would get right up in their faces to take the picture which made them laugh even harder. It was so funny I thought Mom was going to fall over. Jeesh!

At some point Dad had the camera a inch away from their faces as Grandpa Dave was trying to explain in this next picture...

Finally...the perfect picture.

What a fun night!
