The Great Pumpkin Patch 2009: Roloff Farms

Yeserday Mama and Dad took me to get my first pumpkin. We went to Roloff Farms out in Helvetia. Wow, what a place. There were animals to pet, a lion to look at, pony rides and pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins.

Dad and I feeding the goats. They were not shy about wanting our food. This goat even pushed the others away so he could eat all of my food.

Mama and I fed a mini cow - this is as big as he will ever get. He's the perfect size. I bet he would fit in our backyard. And the Alpaca definitely needed a shave!

I took a tumble when trying to walk through the pumpkins and ended up eating a little dirt. Ick!

I started getting upset...all these pictures....can't I just play guys!!!!
I watched the pony rides. I even fed some hay to the ponies that were resting. Their noses are so soft.

Dad took a picture of my bloody lip. Once you get teeth it hurts a little more when you fall on your face. And I have four teeth now so I have to be extra careful. I know that now!
We didn't take the hayride, the line was really long and it was getting close to nap time. Besides, we need to save something for next year anyway.
Happy Halloween!

Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival

A few weekends ago I went to OFFF and meet up with Grandma Dee, Aunt Leah and the boys. It was at the Clackamas Fairgrounds. There were so many animals I had never seen before, but then I haven't seen that many animals in my short time here.

I got to pet bunnies, the cashmere goats, some llamas, alpacas, and I even saw a goat with four horns...crazy!!

Going Bananas

I got to stay home with Dad today. What a treat. He left me alone for just a few minutes and I found where mama stashed the bananas (we are hiding them from the fruit flies that have descended upon us since she canned pears this weekend).

I opened the drawer and to my surprise I found a bunch of bananas. I was getting a little hungry so I figured out how to get one banana off the bunch. It wasn't too hard. Then I peeled it and had eaten part of it before dad came to find me.

Hey, at least it was a banana....

High Fives and Bye-Bye's

There are so many things to learn. Its something new every single day.

Look Ma- I'm Walking

This last week I started walking, and I don't mean just a step or two. I am full on wobbling all across the rooms. Right now I do better barefoot. Shoes still give me problems. But I don't even want to hold mama's hand anymore when I walk. I can do it all by myself.

PS- I love my toothbrush! I take it with me eveywhere.

My Fish Hat

Mama knitted me a fish hat.
I wore it at the Garibaldi Tuna Tournament that Dad always fishes in. She even knitted one for Unlce Dick.

He said he would wear it on the podium if he won the tournament. And he did! (She is still trying to get the picture to post) Everyone loved the hats and they all wanted one. Mine is still a little big for me but I'll grow in to it.

I even played with Dad's fishing pole. One day soon, I'll be out there too!

Swim Lessons

Tonight was my first swim lesson. I had a little pool this summer but it was nothing like this place. It was so deep I could have gotten lost under the water. There were tons of other kids, some of them screamers, but it was really fun.

We played some games, sang some songs even did the hokey pokey. It was really fun.

And I really liked getting to jump in to mama and daddy's arms from the side of the pool. But after a while I started getting cold so we got out. I can't wait to go back again.
