The Newport Aquarium

Saturday afternoon Mama and Daddy took me to the Newport Aquarium. They bought a season pass so I can go all the time. And there is sooo much to see. We only stayed a couple of hours and I had such a great time.

First we went to the Passages of the Deep. I got so close with all the fish. They were right next to me behind the glass. I saw, halibut, rockfish, lingcod, all kinds of sharks and a juvenile wolf eel. Getting up close and personal with a Copper Rockfish.

Looking at a China Rockfish.

Then we checked out the birds in the aviary and watch the tidal exchange at one of the outdoor pools. I ate a few goldfish, fitting since we were at an aquarium.

Then we were off to the swamplands. I got to pet a tortise and a lizard, watch people play with parrots that said words I hadn't even learned yet!

We walked by the Lion's Mane jellyfish tank and I liked watching them all swim around.

After that we went to a tidal pool and I got to touch the anenome and starfish. I saw Japanese Spider craps who's legs can get up to 13 feet across, (I wonder how many of me's it would take to make 13 feet?)

I can't wait to go back!
