Aunt Mandi came home and my Auntie and Uncles all ran in the Warrior Dash. It is a crazy obstacle course complete with fire and mud! Mommy and I went to cheer them on.
Aunt Mandi kept her tiara on the whole time.
The cousins hung out while we waited for them to cross the finish line.

My Very Own Slip-N-Slide
Mommy picked me up a slip-n-slide. I have played on a couple before and had a really good time.
I haven't really gotten the hang of it yet. Grandpa tried to throw me on his slip-n-slide but I didn't think that was very fun. I just like to run down the slide and then fall on my bottom.
And I love the water that shoots up from the sides.

The Train Ride to Rockaway
So if you remember last year Mommy, Daddy and I rode the Choo Choo to Rockaway but missed the train on the way back and had to ask Grandpa to come pick us up. This year we were determined to ride the train BOTH ways.
I was so excited to ride the Choo Choo. It comes right by Grandpa and Grandma's house and I always wave to all of the people on board. Now I would get to wave to Grandma and Granpa.
It started out fun. I was hanging out, waving to people.
But then the Choo Choo went "Choooo Choooo" and it was so lound I had to cover my ears. I did not like how loud it was. Every time it went off I would cover my ears.
The conductor came by and I handed him our tickets.
We went by a lake and Daddy and I put our hands out to touch the leaves on a tree. It was fun.
When we got to Rockaway we had a hot dog and then had a few minutes to play on the beach before we had to get back on the train. This time we made it! And we said further away from the engine so it wasn't as loud when it went "Choooo Choooo"!

Cleaning our Catch
Mommy, Daddy, Grandpa and our friend Bob Wilde had a great day on the water. Mommy caught the biggest fish!
We brought our catch back to clean them at Grandpa house. Daddy and I holding Mommy's fish. I could see his teeth.
Mommy, Daddy and I holding one of Daddy's big fish!
I had my own fishing net and was trying to catch fish out by the train tracks. I tried to net the big fish but he was a little too big for my net. So I went in search for a smaller catch.
I caught a "stick fish".
Daddy sprayed off the scales and I helped scrub them with the brush. We wanted to get off as many scales as we could. Then we cut them up to freeze them for later. Yum! I Love Salmon!

Crabbing with Grandpa
While Daddy was tuna fishing, Mommy, Grandpa and I went out to check the crab pots off the South Jetty.
Grandpa let me help drive the boat in the bay. But I was happy just hanging out on his lap.
As we saw it coming over the side there were so many crabs in the pots. How exciting! Grandpa handed me the crab measure and told me I could help measure all the keepers! Sounded like an important job. First I watched how he did it.
Then we went to pick up the other pots and I helped measure those crab too!
Grandpa tried to hand me a crab that was too small. He wanted me to throw it over the side of the boat so it could grow bigger. Umm...no thanks! Those pinchers are B-I-G! So he threw it overboard for me.
I was having so much fun crabbing!
We had so many keepers they were trying to crawl out of our buckets!

I liked driving over the bar. The ocean waves were rolling like hills under the boat. It was fun! When we got close Mommy took over driving and Grandpa and I got ready to haul in the first float.

Then it was my turn to measure the crab. They were HUGE!
I tried to help Grandpa pick them up but they squrimed around so much it was hard. Notice Grandpa has the heavy duty gloves on and I am doing this bare handed!

Waiting patiently to measure the next pot.We had so many keepers they were trying to crawl out of our buckets!
Mommy and I holding some of our keepers! They measured bigger than the California size crabs!
Salmon Fishing
In September the ODFW opened up salmon fishing to include natives. Mommy was so excited...she loved salmon fishing and this meant we could keep any fish. Usually we are throwing back the natives and it can take a while to catch our limit.
Daddy let me help drive the boat out of the marina. I brought Wally Wolfeel with us for the trip. Notice he is stuffed in to the front of my lifejacket. This way he will be safe too!

The weather was a little rougher than the previous days. I got a little seasick and fell asleep for a bit. When I woke up Mommy and Daddy said we would head in. As Grandpa and Daddy were reeling in the lines Daddy hooked a fish.

Daddy's Salmon
Daddy went fishing the last few days. He brought home two fish and saved them for me to see before he cleaned them. That way I got to see the whole fish.
He said one weighed more than 30+ pounds and he thought it was bigger than me. Hmmm...we'll see.
I was more interested in looking at the fish than smiling for the camera.
I tried to help Daddy hold the fish because he said it was heavy.
These were some nice looking fish! I told them I was going to eat them.

Maybe this one is a little bigger....
