Laughing in the Leaves

Since I had my nice haircut Mama took me to a park to take my pictures. We did this last year too. Here's a pic from exactly one year ago...

I practiced my balance by walking the curb.

I was trying NOT to smile but Mama was being so funny I finally gave in.

I heard an airplane so I stopped to look for it in the sky. You can see it way up high in the picture.

Playing hide and seek behind the tree!

My First Haircut

Now that my hair is in my eyes Mama agreed with Daddy that I needed a haircut. Daddy has been trying a few months since my goldilocks curls are getting so long but Mama loves to run her fingers through my hair so she insists that I keep the curls a while longer. Pretty soon I'll be telling her what I want to do with my hair but until then...she can have her way.

So she took me in when Daddy was at a Ducks game. We had gone in the store before but she chickened out during the waiting so we left. Not today, we walked right in and they had a chair open for me. It was actually a red fire engine with a bell that I got to sit in.

She took a couple last pictures of me with my long baby hair.... look at those curls!!

Kasey was my gal pal and she did a really nice job. Mama told her not to cut too much off the back. She was afraid the curls wouldn't come back. But Kasey showed her that the curls go all the way to my scalp so no worries there...I have been blessed with the Riedel curls...Thanks Grandpa Dave!!!

Once we were done she made my curls handsome and Mama took a few pictures. She even put some of my hair in a little baggie for Mama to keep.

Once we left the salon Mama took my picture with her phone to send to Daddy...

Then she took a picture of herself sto send since she was proud she didn't cry!

Horsing Around for Halloween

This year for halloween I went as a cowboy riding a horse. Grandma Dee found the horse at a garage sale this summer and I have been wearing my "Neigh" costume often over the last few months. But this week I got to wear it to school and then again out at night to all the neighbors houses.

Barney dressed up as a rockstar, compelte with a guitar, mic and a purple feather boa!

We went over to cousins Sara's house and went trick-or-treating with Nia and Jonathon. It was fun. The first few houses I was a little shy and didn't quite know what to do. But it only took a little time and I was in to it. I came back with my treat bucket soooo full.

I got horsing around a little too much and tripped over my front legs!

Eating my cowboy toes!

Carving Pumpkins

It was that time of year again, Halloween. All of the leaves are turning colors, how crazy is that!! We didn't get to a pumpkin patch this year with all the rain and our trip to Hawaii but that didn't mean we weren't going to carve our jack-o-lanterns!

Mama brought home a pumpkin for each of us! I helped cleaning them out. I tried to stand in them again this year. It was a little harder than last year, (if you don't remember, look at my blog entry last October)!

I took the smile that Daddy had cut out of his pumpkin! Cheese!

Then we put candles in them and put them out of the porch for everyone to see.

Happy in Hawaii

I got to fly on a plane to visit Daddy in Hawaii. He was there working so Mama and I packed our bags (okay she packed, I pulled things out and ran them around the house), got up early one morning and got on a plane. It didn't start out so good. I ended up getting a little sick and throwing up all over Mama. Thankfully Mama packed a change of clothes for me, but, unfortunately not for her.

Once we got there Daddy picked us up and we went to the hotel. Then the fun began! I got to go swimming whenever I wanted. Every night before bed we would run down to the pool and swim with nobody around. I wish I could do that every night. But when we were head home from the ariport I asked to go swimming and they told me, "not tonight". What! What happened!

We went shopping and got to eat dinner out each night. I tried Kalua Pork and Hawaiian macaroni salad and fish and chips! Yum! Then we switched hotels and went to a different place that had man made lagoons that we got to swim in. A little salty but I didn't mind. Daddy still through me up in the air. I rode Alli (my alligator float) all the way to the middle of the lagoon and back before I jumped off of it.

I figured Alli was tired and put her to bed with all the other animals at the end of the day!

We walked around all the lagoons and played in the grass.

The koi fish are sooo big there. They look like salmon! I loved watching them. One was so big Mama and Daddy were calling it Grandpa Dave since he must have been the oldest fish in the pond. I loved watching their lips moved, it was like they were talking to each other. And there weren't scared of people so any time I got near them they would all swim next to me. Too bad I didn't have any food to feed them.

I loved taking Daddy's hat and trying on his glasses!

The Ducks were playing while we were in Hawaii so Mama and Daddy brought our clothes and we wore them in support of the team. We got a lot of comments. Most every one said, "Go Ducks!"

On the plane ride back Daddy got us upgraded to first class, what a treat! I got my own seat! I loved it, I could look out the window, watch Barney and Big Bird as much as I wanted, eat some treats that Mama had packed and the nice ladies on the plane brought me juice whenever I needed some. I had so much fun. Everyone said I was a really good boy since I never cried or screamed, but there were others kids who did. Guess their Dads couldn't get them upgraded to frist class.
